INTERNATIONALIZATION POLICY

Istanbul Aydın University adopts an internationalization policy that shapes its activities in education, research and social contributions in an student-oriented manner, with the feedback of internal and external stakeholders, aiming to become a center of attraction through international student and academic mobility via international project collaborations. The university’s internationalization policy is based on the following principles:

 

PRINCIPLES

  • International Academic Collaborations: Developing academic and scientific collaborations through academic and exchange program agreements with foreign universities and benefiting from international academic networks, hosting international conferences and academic events, offering joint or double degree programs with foreign universities.
  • International Academic Mobility: Actively participating in all mobility programs with partner universities abroad, increasing student and academic staff exchanges, staff mobility, short-term education and internship programs, international joint scientific activities in physical or virtual environments, and international publications and projects.
  • Expansion of International Academic Networks and Impact Area: Achieving high rankings in global rankings, increasing international academic accreditations and institutional memberships, and providing university faculty with more access to international networks in their scientific activities.
  • Provision and Enhancement of International Student Experience: Organizing activities to attract international students to choose our university, promoting diversity and inclusivity by creating a balanced nationality mix among international students, taking actions to improve the education and living conditions of international students, ensuring their satisfaction, supporting post-graduation employment, increasing interactions between local and international students through social activities, and developing intercultural skills, thereby creating a multicultural campus life.
  • International and Intercultural Competencies: Establishing mechanisms for home-internationalization to not only enhance the education and life experiences of students coming from abroad but also to develop intercultural competencies and acquire global skills for local students, faculty members, administrative staff, and all other internal stakeholders within the university ecosystem, organizing foreign language education and awareness activities related to internationalization.
  • Commitment to European Values and Erasmus Mobility: Giving importance to European Union central projects, Erasmus academic collaborations and mobility, and research and education activities such as Jean Monnet in line with European values, focusing on themes prioritized by the European Union.
  • Sustainability: Continuous and sustainable improvement of international studies and prioritizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as research topics and general practice.
