Education and Teaching Policy

Istanbul Aydın University’s education and teaching policy is rooted in the aim of educating global individuals based on innovative, entrepreneurial, and critical thinking. Furthermore, our university adopts an integrative education policy philosophy that prioritizes student-centered education and is complemented by a strong academic staff. Accordingly, research-based approaches and methods that encourage students to recognize research processes and problems, and promote learning through research, are integral parts of our education and teaching policy. Operating under the slogan of “Providing a quality education experience,” Istanbul Aydın University embraces its education and teaching policies within the scope of the following principles:

  • Internationalization: Supporting the enrichment of our students’ cultural diversity and the development of a global perspective by providing opportunities such as student exchange programs, double degree programs, and international research projects,
  • Providing Rapid Feedback: Committing to providing students with instant and effective responses to their questions, assignments, or other academic needs, following the principle of providing rapid feedback 24/7, by academic staff and support units,
  • Self-Directed Learning and Individual Paced Learning: Providing support for students to enhance their individual learning skills by offering various tools such as customized learning plans, online resources, and learning groups, enabling them to learn self-directed and at their own pace,
  • Face-to-Face and Online Teaching: Offering flexibility and diversity to students through blended learning models by embracing face-to-face and online teaching methods, prioritizing learning independent of time and place,
  • Competencies of Scientific Thinking and Productive Graduates: Providing an educational program and content aimed at imparting skills such as critical thinking, creativity, effective communication, collaboration, complex problem solving, entrepreneurship, and leadership to students,
  • Innovative, National and International Accredited Teaching Programs: Continuously engaging in initiatives aimed at obtaining national and international accreditations,
  • Technological Infrastructure: Enriching digital technological classroom infrastructure such as interactive whiteboards, virtual laboratories, learning management systems, cloud computing systems, and online resources to maximize the potential of digital technology in education,
  • Process-Focused Innovative Measurement and Evaluation: Measuring and evaluating student achievements not only through exam results but also through projects, portfolios, digital and physical applications, and continuous assessment methods,
  • Ongoing Monitoring and Improvement of Teaching: Regularly reviewing teaching processes and making improvements based on student-teacher feedback.
