Sustainability Policy

Istanbul Aydın University adopts a vision of a sustainable future and implements quality-based activities in education and research in line with the UN development goals. With the consciousness of acting together within the scope of global goals, all our processes are managed with a focus on creating value.

The Sustainability Policy of our university is shaped within the following principles, considering respect for the environment and all living beings and thinking about our future with the slogan “leaving no one behind”:

PRINCIPLES

• Dissemination of Sustainability Culture: Introducing new programs in education and training for students on sustainability, organizing periodic training and events for academic and administrative staff.
• Creating a Research and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Sustainability: Facilitating collaboration between industry and the university, increasing awareness of sustainability projects in the R&D and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
• Becoming a University that Fosters Individuals Connected to Nature: Organizing activities to develop global citizenship and environmental awareness among students, promoting nature literacy.
• Becoming a University that Aligns Stakeholders with Fundamental Sustainability Goals: Creating collaborations that bring together all stakeholders in common sustainability goals.
• Implementing Practices Related to Energy, Water, and Waste Management: Undertaking initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, energy efficiency, increasing the number of renewable energy sources, and waste management to reduce the institutional carbon footprint in response to climate change.
