SMOKE-FREE POLICY
As part of its smoke-free campus policy, Istanbul Aydın University adopts a “healthy living spaces” approach to foster awareness and implement preventive actions across all areas to reduce the environmental and health risks associated with tobacco use, aiming to provide a healthier campus for future generations, especially for students and all internal and external stakeholders. Accordingly, the use of tobacco products is not permitted in enclosed and communal areas, while usage is limited to designated outdoor areas within the campus.
PRINCIPLES:
- Health and Safety: To protect the health of all stakeholders, efforts are made to expand smoke-free areas.
- Awareness: Organize activities and educational programs to raise awareness about the harms of smoking.
- Environmental Responsibility: Encourage reducing tobacco waste to decrease pollution and maintain a clean campus environment.
